Dr. Andrew Carr
Clinical Scientist
Dr. Andrew Carr joined Procter & Gamble in 2001 and is a Clinical Scientist with responsibility for P&G Global Baby Care clinical programs which include Pampers® diapers and wipes. Dr. Carr is a biochemist/pharmacologist and his early career included identification of novel therapeutics and then working with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) on clinical study designs and drug approvals. He has a wealth of experience in designing innovative, multi-national clinical studies examining baby skin, microbiome, stool properties, addressing the cause of infant skin ailments as well as the development of novel tools and devices to enable robust research from the newborn period throughout early childhood. He is a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD) and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and has been passionate in conducting research in premature and full-term infants to further our understanding of the importance of skin in baby growth and development, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in this area. Dr. Carr is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and has designed clinical studies to investigate sleep in infants and adults.
